Woman named Sevda Timur murdered by her boyfriend Ümit Demirtaş
Sevda Timur, who worked as a belly dancer at a venue in Sakarya, was allegedly murdered by Ümit Demirtaş, with whom she had been in a relationship for a year.

Sakarya—A man who shot and killed a 30-year-old woman, who worked as a belly dancer at an entertainment venue, at the apartment where she lived, and then turned himself in to the police, has been referred to the courthouse. It is alleged that the man had been in a relationship with the belly dancer for one year and had separated from his legally wedded wife for this reason.
CONFESSED TO THE CRIME
According to the information obtained, a man named Ümit Demirtaş (40) went to the home of Sevda Timur (30), who was known to work as a belly dancer in entertainment venues under the name 'İpek'. It is alleged that Demirtaş, who did not want the woman to work at the entertainment venue, argued with Timur. During the argument, Ü.D. killed Sevda Timur with a handgun he had brought with him and fled the scene. Later, at around 7:30 a.m., he went to the police station and confessed to his crime, stating that he was against Sevda Timur working at the entertainment venue and that they had argued because he was jealous.
The individual, who went to the Public Security Branch Directorate to confess his crime, was referred to the courthouse following his processing at the police station. Furthermore, it was learned that Sevda Timur, a mother of one, had come to Sakarya from the Southeast about 6 years ago, and that Timur's child is currently with her father, who lives in Mersin.
