Woman who lost her husband beats the man who harassed her: 'I gave him the punishment he deserved'

In the Pamukova district of Sakarya, Nuran Kul, whose husband passed away about two months ago, beat a man in a park whom she claimed had been harassing her for some time. Describing the incident, Kul said, "I warned him, he didn't listen. I gave him the punishment he deserved."

According to the information obtained, Nuran Kul (54), who lives in the Pamukova district of Sakarya, lost her husband to lung cancer two months ago.

Allegedly, after her husband passed away, a man began to harass Kul by calling her constantly. Seeing the man in a park after he ignored her warnings, Nuran Kul could not contain her anger. In the middle of the park located in the town center, she slapped the man and beat him thoroughly.

Those moments were recorded second by second with a mobile phone camera. In the footage, Kul, who slapped the man, is heard saying, "My husband just died, I will kill you, act like a man. I told you not to call, why are you calling? Be ashamed of your age, I am grieving, my husband just died. I just lost my husband, and you say 'let me give you money,' who are you?" while bystanders intervened to try to calm the woman down.

Stating that the man constantly harassed her by phone and describing the incident, Nuran Kul said, "He received a proper 'Ottoman slap,' and the citizens around came and took him from my hands. Afterwards, he got up and left. It has only been two months since my husband died; I haven't forgotten his pain, and even though I warned him, he did the same thing again. He was constantly harassing me on the phone. I told him I had just lost my husband and that I had enough trouble of my own. I have two grandchildren I am looking after; I warned him a few times saying what you are doing is indecent, but he didn't listen."

Stating that she did not know the person and that he had obtained her number from an association she is a member of, Kul said, "He continued to call, saying 'let me give you money, let me help you,' and I said, 'I don't want your money, don't harass me.' I told him, 'I will beat you wherever I find you,' and he said, 'you can't do anything to me.' When he came to the park, I went up to him and told him to say what he said on the phone to my face, and he couldn't say anything. Because I am an Ottoman woman, I slapped him with an 'Ottoman slap.' Then I grabbed him and threw him to the ground, roughed him up a bit on the ground, and then the men around came and took him from my hands. As he was leaving, I kicked him one more time from behind. He is not someone I know. There is a street animal association we help, and our number can go everywhere from there," she said.

Kul concluded her words as follows;

"It has been two months since I lost my husband to lung cancer; I have two grandchildren I am looking after, I am busy with them, but this pervert is bothering me. I gave him the punishment he deserved, I slapped him with an 'Ottoman slap.' Let this be a source of courage for all women; let them not be afraid and let them deliver the 'Ottoman slap'"
