Working to earn pocket money: 16-year-old struck in the head by 'Adrenaline' ride at amusement park

A teenager working at an amusement park to earn pocket money was severely injured after being struck in the head by an “Adrenaline” ride.

The incident occurred yesterday at around 10:00 PM at the amusement park in Harikalar Diyarı Park, located in the Yunus Emre neighborhood of Sincan district.

According to allegations, 16-year-old Mustafa A., who was working at the amusement park to earn pocket money, was struck in the head by the ride called “Adrenaline.”

Mustafa A. was assisted by his 17-year-old friend K.E., who also works at the same amusement park. Following reports from citizens in the area, medical teams were dispatched to the scene.

After receiving initial intervention from medical teams, the injured teenager was first transported to Bilkent City Hospital. It was learned that the teenager, who has been admitted to intensive care, is in critical condition.

The teenager's family has filed a complaint regarding the incident. The police have launched an investigation into the matter.

Stating that his brother has fractures in his skull, the teenager's older brother Sait Atmaca said, “My brother is 16 years old. I am asking for help from the authorities. There are children of the same age working at the amusement park. There is negligence. The machine hits my brother's head and he collapses at the scene. He has various fractures in his skull,” he said.

His friend K.E., who works at the same amusement park, described the moment of the incident to the İhlas News Agency. Stating that his friend's health condition is serious, K.E. said, “I also work at this amusement park without insurance.

My friend was working on the Adrenaline machine. While I was working in the evening, I turned around and saw Mustafa fall. My friend had an accident because there was negligence. I ran to my friend's side. His health condition is very serious. He has a fracture in his head. There is bleeding in his brain,” he said.
