Workplace accident at Sabiha Gökçen: Technician loses his life

Yusuf Altun, a technician working in the landing gear workshop of THY Teknik A.Ş. at Sabiha Gökçen Airport, has lost his life as a result of a workplace accident.

According to the information obtained, Altun was critically injured when a part flew into his face while he was working. Altun, who was taken to Marmara Training and Research Hospital by medical teams called to the scene, could not be saved despite all interventions in the intensive care unit.

Authorities reported that an investigation into the incident has been initiated.
