Istanbul Bar Association President Filiz Saraç got into an argument with security guards when she did not want to pass her bag through the X-ray device while entering the courthouse.
The disagreement over security rules quickly turned into a scuffle. During the incident, there was pushing and shoving between the private security guards and Saraç.
POLICE INTERVENTION
The tension ended with police intervention. The press statement planned after the incident continued as scheduled.
The Istanbul Bar Association stated that it would continue its struggle to have the CMK fee schedule equalized with the lawyers' minimum wage schedule.
