Yavaş's criminal complaints regarding Gökçek back on the agenda: Files totaling 46 billion TL...

In the concert investigation conducted into the ABB, 14 people were detained over allegations of 154 million lira in public damages. Five of those detained were arrested on charges of embezzlement and sent to prison.

The criminal complaints filed by ABB Mayor Mansur Yavaş against Melih Gökçek have once again come to the agenda.

The files, which total 46 billion lira, contain allegations of expenditures and irregularities made during the Gökçek era. Among these are notable topics such as a Moldovan therapist employed on a municipal salary, the Ankapark and cable car projects that turned into scrap, the 41 million lira paid to model Doutzen Kroes to ring a gong, and the granting of land plot by plot to FETÖ members.

It has been alleged that Gökçek, against whom 97 separate criminal complaints have been filed, has not vacated his municipal residence for 8 years and used a municipal vehicle irregularly for 50 months. However, no investigation has been opened against him to date, and neither judicial sanctions nor arrests have been applied.

Some of the expenditures taken to the judiciary are summarized as follows:

Jeddah Fair (2016): 14 million 62 thousand TL was spent for the fair to which 18 people were sent.

Cable Car: 43 million TL was paid to the contractor firm through irregular work increases.

Gong Ringing: A total of 41 million TL was given to Victoria’s Secret model Doutzen Kroes to ring a gong.

Seğmen Water: A loss of 48 million TL occurred in factories that were in an unusable state.

Ankapark: 801 million dollars (approximately 30 billion TL) was spent, and irregularities were committed in 52 tenders.

ANFA Tender (2015): A loss of 576 million TL was determined in the 1.7 billion TL tender.

Plot by Plot: Municipal real estate was given to FETÖ members through zoning changes.

Tatlar Treatment Plant: It was determined that 536 million TL received for renovation was used for different works.
