Yellow alert from Meteorology for 11 cities including Istanbul! Downpours and strong winds are coming

According to the latest assessments by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The country is expected to be partly to very cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms expected across the Marmara region, the northern and inner Aegean, the Western Mediterranean, the western part of Central Anatolia, the Black Sea region, the northern part of Eastern Anatolia, the surroundings of Adana and Osmaniye, and the western parts of Hatay. Precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the southern and eastern parts of the Marmara region, as well as in the surroundings of Tekirdağ, Düzce, Zonguldak, and Bartın.

Air temperatures are expected to decrease by 2-4 degrees in the western parts of the country, with no significant changes expected elsewhere.

The wind is expected to blow generally from the north, and from the south in the southern and eastern parts of the country, light to occasionally moderate, and locally strong (40-60 km/h) in the southwest of the Marmara region, the North Aegean coasts, and the southern and western parts of Eastern Anatolia.

YELLOW ALERT FOR 11 CITIES

The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a yellow meteorological alert for Balıkesir, Bursa, Çanakkale, Edirne, Istanbul, Kocaeli, Sakarya, Tekirdağ, Yalova, Düzce, and Zonguldak, where heavy precipitation is expected.

It is estimated that the precipitation may intensify in the evening hours, especially in Istanbul and Bursa, and after the evening hours in Düzce and Zonguldak.

MARMARA

It is expected to be partly to very cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms. Precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the southern and eastern parts of the region and in the surroundings of Tekirdağ. The wind is expected to blow locally strong (40-60 km/h) in the southwestern parts of the region during the morning hours.
