YENİ Party files annulment application to the Constitutional Court for two laws

The YENİ Party has applied to the Constitutional Court with a request for the suspension of execution and annulment of Law No. 7589 on Amendments to Certain Laws for the Effective and Efficient Operation of the Judiciary and Law No. 7590 on Amendments to Certain Laws and Decree-Laws.

The party stated that the regulation numbered 7589 is known in the public eye as the "12th Judicial Package," while the regulation numbered 7590 is known as the "Retiree Package."

Making a statement before the application, YENİ Party Group Deputy Chairman Gökhan Günaydın argued that certain provisions contained in the laws in question lead to a loss of rights.

Günaydın stated that they are objecting to the regulations regarding the inclusion of PTT employees in the general administrative services class and those concerning teachers working in private educational institutions. He said that the changes made to the Notary Law, as well as regulations concerning the protection of personal data and the prohibition of forced labor, have also been brought before the Constitutional Court.

In his statement, Günaydın emphasized that they will continue their efforts to defend the rights and laws of the citizens and the country.
