Yerlikaya announces: Canık Gang dismantled! 21 suspects captured

The organized crime group known as the 'Canık Gang,' led by Ahmet Canık, was dismantled in the Mahzen-26 operations carried out simultaneously by the Gendarmerie in 2 provinces, centered in Kahramanmaraş.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya reported that 21 suspects, including the ringleader, were captured during the operation. Of the 21 suspects, 20 were arrested, while a judicial control decision was issued for 1.
Yerlikaya announced that from June 1, 2023, when he took office, to April 4, 2024, a total of 424 organized crime groups were dismantled, including 14 international, 38 national, 69 regional, and 303 local organizations.
