Yılmaz Tunç announced: Person who engaged in terrorist organization propaganda on social media arrested

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç stated that a person who shared content containing separatist organization propaganda and disinformation on social media has been arrested.

Following the martyrdom of 12 soldiers by PKK terrorists in Northern Iraq, one of the 15 individuals who engaged in terrorist organization propaganda on social media platforms has been arrested. 

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç's statement on the matter is as follows:

“Following the martyrdom of 12 of our soldiers by members of the separatist terrorist organization in northern Iraq on December 22-23, 2023, regarding those who engaged in terrorist organization propaganda and shared content containing disinformation on social media platforms;

Investigations have been initiated by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices.

In the investigations, 15 account managers who made the posts in question were identified, and it was determined that 12 of them are abroad.

Within the scope of the investigation, 1 person has been arrested, while efforts to apprehend 2 others are being carried out meticulously, and judicial investigations are ongoing.”
