Following the backlash against the event, yoga instructor Seda Deliormanlı said, "I apologize to the Mor Yuhannon Church and everyone I have hurt."

Deliormanlı, who shared the post with the note "It was incredible," faced backlash on social media. It was alleged that the church official granted permission after perceiving Deliormanlı's request to meditate as a form of prayer.
APOLOGIZED
Seda Deliormanlı apologized in a post she made following the reactions. Deliormanlı stated, "I apologize to the Syriac community in particular, the Mor Yuhannon Church, and everyone I have unintentionally hurt. If I had even guessed that the short yoga session we held after obtaining all permissions from the authorized persons would disturb even one person, I would never have done it."

Deliormanlı used the following expressions: "I would never disrespect any belief, value, or culture; it is not even possible for me to think of such a thing.
