'You stole my partner' feud plays out like a movie scene

The incident occurred on Sunday, June 9, at approximately 23:00 in the Katip Mustafa Çelebi neighborhood of the Beyoğlu Taksim district. According to information obtained, a feud had developed between two business owners due to a dispute over a former partner.

The man, unable to accept that his former partner had moved to a rival establishment, ordered an armed attack on the venue's employees. During the attack, Alişan K. and Ömer K., who were sitting in front of the establishment, were wounded in their legs, causing panic among citizens.

"YOU STOLE MY PARTNER" FEUD

Following the incident, the wounded were taken to the hospital by ambulance, and police teams launched an investigation. As part of the investigation, officers from the Beyoğlu Public Security Bureau examined security camera footage and took statements from eyewitnesses.

Conducting work regarding the period leading up to the attack, police teams determined that the suspect on the motorcycle who opened fire had changed his clothes and the motorcycle he was using on a street in Tarlabaşı approximately 2 hours before the incident.

Police teams determined that another male suspect had brought the motorcycle used in the incident to this street, and that there was one more person with them, meaning they were acting as a group of 3.

BEYOĞLU PUBLIC SECURITY POLICE APPREHEND 3 SUSPECTS

As a result of detailed camera and intelligence work, the Beyoğlu Public Security Bureau police identified the suspects. It was determined that the person who opened fire from the motorcycle was Uğur A. (24), the person who brought him the motorcycle used in the incident was Serhat K. (22), and the person accompanying them was Mahsun Y. (24).

In operations conducted to apprehend the individuals simultaneously, Uğur A. was caught on Balo Street, Serhat K. on Sıraselviler Street, and Mahsun Y. on Sadri Alışık Street, without being given a chance to escape.

CRIMINAL RECORD NEARLY TWICE HIS AGE

The 3 detained individuals were taken to the police station after undergoing health checks. During their statements at the station, it was revealed that 24-year-old Uğur A., who opened fire, had 42 prior criminal records. Serhat K., who had 3 prior records, and Mahsun Y., who had 4, were also referred to the courthouse following judicial proceedings.

2 OF THE ATTACKERS ARRESTED

Of the individuals brought before the court, Uğur A. and Serhat K. were arrested on charges of "intentional injury" and sent to prison.

Mahsun Y. was released pending trial under judicial control conditions.

On the other hand, it was revealed that in an incident that took place on Monday, June 3, at approximately 01:00, the individuals who carried out the attack on June 9 had themselves been the victims of an attack.
