Young girl had announced she was being threatened on social media: Action taken regarding Discord

It has emerged that there are social media groups supporting the murders committed by Semih Çelik, who killed two young women in Istanbul's Fatih district before taking his own life. It was determined that individuals broadcasting live on Discord were trapping young girls and blackmailing them.

In Istanbul, a murderer named Semih Çelik first brutally killed Ayşenur Halil in the Eyüpsultan district, and later killed İkbal Uzuner at the Edirnekapı Walls in Fatih.

It was subsequently determined that there were accounts on social media supporting Çelik, who then committed suicide by jumping from the walls.

It was determined that individuals gathering on the instant video and text messaging application Discord were trapping underage girls and sexually abusing them.

According to the report by journalist İbrahim Haskoloğlu, the suspects abused the girls by threatening them and extorted their money.

The expressions used in the posts by accounts that were found to be visiting the same sites as Semih Çelik were blood-curdling.

SEXUAL ABUSE VIA DISCORD

It was determined that these individuals, who also gathered on the instant video and text messaging application Discord, were trapping young girls in particular and sexually abusing them.

It emerged that the suspects were blackmailing the girls by threatening them with their addresses and family information, and extorting their money.

"LET THE KING COME, WE WILL CONTINUE THIS BUSINESS"

The individuals who blackmailed the girls with their personal data confessed on Discord and used the following expressions:

"Let the king come, we will continue this business. We earn our money through blackmail. This happened because we made people cut themselves."

USER NAMED MOZART CAPTURED

Following the incident, Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced that T. Develioğlu, the individual who blackmailed young girls on Discord under the username Mozart, had been captured.
