The Supreme Election Council (YSK) election calendar, announced on December 1, 2023, is currently in progress.

In accordance with the calendar, while the number of political parties eligible to participate in the election was initially set at 36, this number dropped to 34 after the Innovation Party (Yenilik Partisi) and the Youth Party (Genç Parti) notified the YSK that they would not be participating in the elections.

Political parties and independent candidates submitted their candidate lists to provincial and district election boards on February 20.

The positions of the political parties participating in the election on the combined ballot paper were determined by a drawing held at the YSK headquarters on January 27. Voter information slips began to be distributed on February 29.

Within the scope of the calendar, the final lists regarding the political parties and independent candidates who have applied for candidacy will be announced by provincial and district election boards on Sunday, March 3.

District election boards will announce the lists for district mayoral candidates, while provincial election boards will announce the lists for metropolitan mayoral candidates.

Following the announcement of the lists, provincial election boards will begin the printing of the combined ballot papers.

As the printing process is completed, the ballots will be sent to the district election board presidencies according to a set plan.
