Supreme Election Council (YSK) Chair Ahmet Yener spoke at an in-service training program for council staff.
Yener addressed YSK personnel at the in-service training program held at the Ministry of Justice's training facilities in Sincan, focused on the Local Administration Elections to be held on March 31, 2024. Stating that as the YSK, they successfully conducted the presidential and parliamentary general elections on May 14 and the second round of the presidential election on May 28, Yener expressed his gratitude to all staff who worked with dedication.
HE DREW ATTENTION TO CRIMINAL RECORD REVIEWS
Pointing out that one of the issues staff encounter most frequently during election periods is the review of candidates' criminal records, Yener announced that distance training will be provided on this subject next month with the support of the Ministry of Justice. Yener noted the following:
As YSK personnel, I trust and believe that you approach all our political parties impartially during elections. We saw the result of this impartial approach in the May 14 and May 28 elections, and we showed the whole world how elections can be conducted without problems; this is a great honor and pride for both our country and us. My expectation from you is that you approach all political parties and independent candidates equally in the March 31 local elections.
