YSK rules on 22 objections for 21 electoral districts

The Supreme Election Council (YSK) continues to evaluate objections filed by political parties within the scope of the March 31 Local Administration General Elections.

The council, which convened today at 15:00, reached final decisions on the objections filed by political parties following a meeting that lasted approximately 2 hours. During the meeting, the council concluded 22 objections filed by political parties for 21 electoral districts and announced the decisions made for 20 districts and 1 town.

Accordingly, the AK Party's requests for a recount of votes in the Van Bahçesaray mayoral election, a recount of municipal council votes in Şırnak Uludere, a recount of votes in the Şırnak Silopi and Şırnak Görümlü districts, and the cancellation of elections and a re-run in the Şanlıurfa Bozova district were rejected.

The CHP's objections for a recount of municipal council votes in the Tekirdağ Ergene district, a recount of votes in Edirne Uzunköprü, the cancellation of elections in Konya Karapınar, the cancellation and renewal of mayoral elections in Adana Kozan, and the cancellation of the certificate of election (mazbata) in Afyonkarahisar Dazkırı were rejected.

The MHP's requests for the cancellation of the mayoral election in the Çankırı Eldivan district, a recount of votes for the Çankırı Şabanözü mayoral election, the cancellation of the provincial general assembly certificate of election for Çankırı Orta, and the cancellation of the certificate of election for Adana Saimbeyli and the awarding of the certificate to the runner-up were rejected.

The IYI Party's requests for a recount of votes in Trabzon Şalpazarı, a recount of municipal council votes in Samsun Atakum, a recount of provincial general assembly votes in Edirne Uzunköprü, and the cancellation of provincial general assembly elections in Afyonkarahisar Çobanlar were rejected.

The New Welfare Party's (Yeniden Refah Partisi) requests for a recount of votes in the Erzurum Horasan and Ardahan Göle elections, and a recount of municipal council votes in Trabzon Arsin were rejected.

The DEVA Party's requests for a recount of votes in the mayoral and municipal council elections for the Yurtbaşı town in the Elazığ central district were rejected.

On the other hand, the IYI Party's objection regarding Ordu, which was based on the claim of "full illegality" due to irregularities in the elections, had also been rejected earlier in the day.
