YSK rules on objections from 7 political parties regarding 1 province and 21 districts

The Supreme Election Council (YSK) has finalized its decisions on objections filed by 7 political parties across 22 electoral districts, including 1 province and 21 districts, within the scope of the March 31 Local Administration General Elections.

The Supreme Election Council (YSK) continues to evaluate objections filed by political parties within the scope of the March 31 Local Administration General Elections.

The council, which convened today at 15:00, reached final decisions on the objections filed by political parties following a meeting that lasted approximately 3 hours. During the meeting, the council concluded the objections filed by 7 political parties for a total of 22 electoral districts, including 1 province and 21 districts, and announced the decisions reached.

Accordingly, the AK Party's requests were rejected: the cancellation of the mayoral election and a rerun in the Senirkent district of Isparta; the cancellation of the provincial general assembly election and a rerun in the Refahiye district of Erzincan; a recount of votes in the Manyas and İvrindi districts of Balıkesir; and the cancellation of the certificate of election (mazbata) for the Kayapınar district of Diyarbakır and the awarding of the certificate to the runner-up in the elections.

Furthermore, the extraordinary objections filed by the AK Party for the Kadışehri district of Yozgat and the Emet district of Kütahya were also rejected by the council.

The CHP's requests for a recount of votes in the Ayrancı district of Karaman and the cancellation of the mayoral election in the Besni district of Adıyaman were rejected.

The council also rejected the extraordinary objection filed by the CHP due to "full illegality" regarding the decision to cancel the certificate of the CHP candidate in the elections held in the Tuzluca district of Iğdır and to award the certificate to the runner-up candidate.

In addition to the MHP's extraordinary objection regarding the cancellation of the elections in Kütahya and a rerun, their requests for the cancellation of the mayoral election in the Yerköy district of Yozgat and a recount of the provincial general assembly votes in the Aydıntepe district of Bayburt were rejected.

The objections of the İYİ Party, which requested the cancellation of the mayoral elections in the Akkuş and Kabadüz districts of Ordu, were also rejected by the council.

The Yeniden Refah Party's requests for a recount of votes in Ömerli, Mardin, and the cancellation of the mayoral elections and a rerun in the Onikişubat district of Kahramanmaraş and the Güroymak district of Bitlis were rejected.

The DEM Party's objections regarding the cancellation of the elections and a rerun in the Şemdinli district of Hakkari and the Midyat district of Mardin, as well as a recount of votes in Gercüş, Batman, were rejected.

Additionally, the objection filed by the Saadet Party regarding the cancellation of the elections in the Sason district of Batman was also rejected.
