Arapkirli stated, "Despite everything, the CHP still seems to have accepted competing against an opponent who 'cannot prove his diploma.' You should make his diploma situation an issue right now and more loudly than ever."
The veteran journalist claimed that Erdoğan has been a presidential candidate in violation of the Constitution three times, and stated that his candidacy for a fourth time should not be overlooked either. Emphasizing that the opposition cannot fight by accepting this illegality, Arapkirli called on the CHP to adopt a more determined stance.
This statement came after the decision regarding the cancellation of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu's diploma caused widespread repercussions in the public eye.
