The Development Plan will cover the years 2024-2028 and set out the goals and strategies that Turkey will focus on during this period. Prepared in line with the 2053 vision, the 12th Development Plan will serve as a holistic roadmap aimed at mobilizing Turkey's potential in the 100th year of the Republic.

CITIZENS' OPINIONS WERE ALSO COLLECTED

Within the framework of the plan, 54 special expertise commissions and 26 working groups were established to determine relevant policy steps. In addition, a survey was conducted for citizens. The first part of the survey included priority preferences among the main topics of the Development Plan and various policy options related to them. In the second part, which was left open-ended, citizens expressed their new and original ideas.

Vice President Yılmaz had stated that the suggestions and expectations of the private sector and working segments would be reflected in the 12th Development Plan and budget processes within a governance approach.

All eyes are now on the 2024 Central Government Budget Law Proposal, which is expected to be submitted tomorrow. Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz will make a presentation at the TBMM Planning and Budget Committee tomorrow. The plan, which is expected to be discussed in the committee on October 23-24, will then be addressed in the TBMM General Assembly.

Budget negotiations for ministries and institutions are planned to be completed in the committee on November 24. Following the discussions in the committee, the budget is expected to be evaluated in the TBMM General Assembly between December 4-15.
