The 2026 amounts for livestock support have been reorganized. Within the scope of the decision published with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, calf support was increased to 2 thousand liras, water buffalo calf support to 4 thousand liras, and lamb and kid support to 430 liras.

The "Decision on Amending the Decision on Livestock Supports to be Provided in 2024-2026" was published in the Official Gazette. The regulation entered into force on the date of its publication, effective from January 1, 2026.

With the decision, the support amounts applied as 1 thousand 400 liras for calves and 2 thousand 800 liras for water buffalo calves in 2025 were increased to 2 thousand and 4 thousand liras, respectively, for 2026. An additional support coefficient of 1 will be applied for calves and water buffalo calves born from artificial insemination. For those born from embryo transfer or sexed semen application, a support coefficient of 2.5 will be provided.

Additional support payments will also be made for certain calves that meet the specified conditions and have undergone genomic testing.

LAMB, KID, AND BEEKEEPING SUPPORTS ALSO INCREASED

The support provided for lambs and kids at least four months old was increased from 300 liras to 430 liras. An additional support coefficient of 0.5 will be applied for lambs and kids born at migratory control points, and a coefficient of 2 will be applied for female lambs and kids born in family-run farms.

An "abortion support" was also added to the decision. Accordingly, in the event of abortion in pregnant animals in 2026, 20 thousand liras per animal will be paid to cattle and water buffalo owners, and 4 thousand liras to sheep and goat owners.

An increase was also made in beekeeping support. The support, which was given as 140 liras per hive to union members and 100 liras to non-members in 2025, was determined as 250 liras for union members and 200 liras for non-members for 2026.

Within the scope of Angora goat support, 300 liras per animal will be provided for base herds and 500 liras for elite herds. Support amounts for aquaculture and the protection of animal genetic resources were also reorganized with the new decision.
