43,000 Lira Raise for Erdoğan's Salary!

While high inflation, the dollar exchange rate, and the cost of living increase day by day, the Palace's budget has doubled in one year. 

According to the report by Havva Gümüşkaya from Birgün, the salary of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, which was raised to 140,000 liras with an additional budget in July, will be 183,000 TL in 2024.

According to the budget proposal submitted to the TBMM with Erdoğan's signature, Erdoğan will receive a salary of 2 million 195 thousand TL next year.

The Presidential allowance, which was 100,750 liras per month in the 2023 initial appropriation, had been increased by 39 percent with an additional budget to 140,000 liras. In the 2024 budget proposal, the raise rate compared to July was 30 percent.

While millions of wage earners cannot even receive a raise at the rate of inflation, Erdoğan's salary has increased by 81.63 percent compared to the 2023 initial appropriation, rising above the rate of inflation. In the proposal, it is estimated that Erdoğan's salary will rise to 225,000 TL in 2025 and 254,000 liras in 2026.

GOODS AND SERVICES PROCUREMENT EXPENDITURES WILL INCREASE BY 81.33 PERCENT

The Presidential Budget, which was 6.6 billion TL in 2023, has been increased to 12 billion 283 million 843 thousand TL in 2024.

In the budget proposal prepared by the Presidency of Strategy and Budget, Presidency personnel expenses have been increased by 136 percent compared to 2023. The initial appropriation, which was 940.3 million liras in 2023, has been increased to 2 billion 225 million liras for 2024.

6 billion 931 million liras have been allocated from the 2024 budget for the Palace's goods and services procurement expenditures. In the 2023 budget, this amount was 3 billion 822 million liras. An increase of 81.33 percent has been made in goods and services procurement expenditures for next year.
