A first in Borsa İstanbul history!

The BIST 100 index at Borsa İstanbul reached a record level of 11,002.45 points. This rise, led by banking stocks, exceeded 1.6 percent. The banking index also gained more than 5 percent in value.

On the other hand, Turkey's 5-year credit default swap (CDS) premium fell to 264.3 basis points, its lowest level since February 2020.

Analysts stated that the steps taken by the economic administration have been welcomed by the markets.

Noting that interest in TL-denominated assets continues as confidence among domestic and international investors improves following the return to orthodox economic policies in Turkey, analysts also drew attention to the positive statements made by international institutions and organizations regarding the Turkish economy.
