A new era begins in real estate sales: The date has been set
The Ministry of Trade has implemented a new regulation regarding the establishment and operation of a secure payment system for real estate sales. While an integrator has been authorized for the system, principles have also been established for excluding certain real estate sales from the scope and for conducting pilot applications. Additionally, the regulation moved the previously set date of July 1, 2026, to December 1, 2026.

The "Regulation on Amending the Regulation on Real Estate Trade" prepared by the Ministry of Trade has been published in the Official Gazette and has entered into force.
With the regulation, the provisions regarding the establishment and operation of a secure payment system in real estate trade have been renewed. Accordingly, an integrator will be authorized by the Ministry of Trade for the establishment, effective operation, and development of the system, as well as for the production of statistical data and reports.
The secure payment system will be established and operated according to a protocol to be signed between the Ministry of Trade, the relevant units of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, and the authorized integrator.
Real estate sales that will not be included in the system, whether a pilot application is needed, and the scope of any potential pilot application will also be determined by the same protocol. Furthermore, the usage fee, the method of sharing this fee, the establishment and activities of the relevant commission, and the rights and obligations of the parties will be regulated in the protocol.
With the regulation, the date "July 1, 2026" in the 10th paragraph of the provisional article 1 has been changed to "December 1, 2026." The Minister of Trade will execute the provisions of the regulation.
