According to a report by Xinhua, Airbus China stated that the country's commercial civil aviation fleet is expected to reach 10,930 aircraft by 2042.
The company, which forecasts that China's civil aviation services market will reach a size of 54.1 billion dollars by that date, predicted that the country will surpass North America and Europe in terms of volume.
Hu Yongdong, Vice President of Customer Services Strategy and Business Development at Airbus China, pointed out that the civil aviation industry in China has shown steady development in terms of efficiency and quality, noting that it offers new opportunities for maintenance, training, operational services, and the improvement of the passenger experience.
The number of pilots, technicians, and cabin crew employed in China's civil aviation sector is projected to reach 561 thousand by 2042, up from 212 thousand in 2023.
