According to the Presidential Decree published in the Official Gazette, as of March 17, 2025, non-physical gold sales transactions conducted through demand deposit accounts without physical delivery will be considered foreign exchange transactions. A foreign exchange transaction tax (KMV) of 0.2 percent (0.002) will be levied on these transactions.
