With the harvest season approaching, hazelnut producers are awaiting the official announcement regarding the 2026 purchase prices. According to a report by Sözcü, the price per kilogram for Giresun quality and Levant quality hazelnuts is among the topics producers are most curious about.

It has been stated that the Turkish Grain Board (TMO) has not yet made an official announcement regarding the 2026 purchase prices for Levant and Giresun quality hazelnuts. Last year, the purchase prices were announced as of August 5, 2025.

Hazelnut producers are waiting for the TMO announcement for new season purchase prices.

In 2025, the price per kilogram for Giresun quality in-shell hazelnuts was announced as 200 TL, 195 TL for Levant quality in-shell hazelnuts, and 190 TL for Sivri quality in-shell hazelnuts.

For high-yield hazelnuts, an additional payment was applied based on quality. For every +1 yield, an additional payment of 4 TL per kilogram was made for Giresun quality, 3.90 TL for Levant quality, and 3.80 TL for Sivri quality.

Last year, prices were announced according to quality grades.

Producers expect the base price to be announced for the 2026 season to be decisive for harvest planning and the supply-demand balance in the market.

Price expectations are rising in hazelnut production regions ahead of the harvest season.
