Anadolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office seizes assets of social media influencers
As part of an investigation centered in Istanbul across 6 provinces, in which Dilan Polat and her husband Engin Polat were also arrested, the assets of 12 social media influencers, as well as 2 others whose investigations are continuing in separate files, have been seized.

The investigation conducted by the Anadolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, in which 16 out of 24 suspects have been arrested, is ongoing.
In this context, the assets of Eylül Öztürk Özkan, Feyzanur Başar, İleyda Topal, İlke Elagöz, Kadir Yiğit, Merve Nur Korkut, Muhammed Oğuz Başar, Murat Yiğit, Tolunay Topal, Yasemin Yiğit, Tuğba Demir, and Yavuz Selim Korkut have been seized.
It has been learned that the assets of social media influencer Özlem Altınok Öz and her husband Tayyar Taylan Öz, whose investigation is continuing in a separate file, have also been seized.
HOW DID IT START?
In the operation launched on November 1 in 6 provinces centered in Istanbul and subsequent operations, 24 suspects, including Dilan Polat and her husband Engin Polat, were detained.
Regarding the suspects, including the Polat couple whose digital materials and ledgers were seized during searches of their companies, a preliminary investigation report was prepared by the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK). The report determined that 200 million lira had entered the accounts of companies belonging to family members from 3 companies in liquidation through the issuance of fake invoices for sham trade.
After it was determined that the money was transferred between companies owned by family members and finally collected in a firm named Milda Gayrimenkul, owned by Engin Polat, to purchase real estate and numerous vehicles, teams from the Istanbul Financial Crimes Investigation Bureau identified the suspects and conducted simultaneous operations at 43 addresses in Istanbul, Ankara, Yalova, Ordu, Kırklareli, and Manisa.
Continuing their work within the scope of the investigation, the teams determined that a medical company belonging to Dilan and Engin Polat had granted naming rights to another firm in Ankara, and that an attempt was made to transfer 1 million 800 thousand lira from this firm's account to the personal accounts of the partners.
16 of the suspects, including Dilan Polat, Engin Polat, and Sıla Doğu, were arrested. The court had ruled for the appointment of trustees to 27 companies.
Within the scope of the investigation, the Anadolu 2nd Criminal Court of Peace had imposed a travel ban on social media influencers Eylül Öztürk Özkan, Feyzanur Başar, İleyda Topal, İlke Ela Göz, Kadir Yiğit, Mervenur Korkut, Muhammet Oğuz Başar, Murat Yiğit, Nurgül Yiğit, Tolunay Topal, Tuğba Demirhan, Yavuz Selim Korkut, Habip Özsefil, Huri Özsefil, and Özge Duman.
