Japanese markets experienced a decline; the Nikkei 225 and Topix lost 0.23 percent and 0.3 percent, respectively.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng index continued its losses from Monday with a 0.44 percent drop, while China's CSI 300 index remained just below the flat line.
