For contracts renewed between June 11, 2022, and July 1, 2024, rent increases for residential properties cannot exceed 25 percent.
There is no such rent increase limit for commercial properties.
Consequently, business owners whose lease contract terms expired in November will apply a ceiling rent increase of 53.86 percent.
