Activity continues in global oil markets. The reignited trade wars between the US and China are increasing economic uncertainties. In particular, US President Donald Trump's decision to increase tariffs on steel and aluminum imports from 25 percent to 50 percent has triggered expectations of a global recession.
Brent crude finished last week at the 62.6 dollar level. It entered the new week at around 64 dollars, marking an increase of approximately 2 percent. Despite this limited rise in prices, the general outlook continues its balanced course. This situation is preparing to be reflected as a price cut in domestic fuel prices.
DISCOUNT ON DIESEL IS IMMINENT
If oil prices remain at current levels, a price cut of around 1 TL is expected for diesel, effective from Friday.
DECLINE ALSO EXPECTED IN LPG
The fuel price cut is not limited to diesel alone. As of Thursday, June 5, a price cut of approximately 1.07 TL is also anticipated for LPG prices.
