August data released: Highest increase in housing prices in the East, lowest in the Aegean
According to the August Residential Property Price Index data released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, prices increased by 31.4 percent annually, while they declined by 1.2 percent in real terms.

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) has announced the Residential Property Price Index (RPPI) results for August 2025. According to the released data, a 2.5 percent increase was recorded in housing prices on a monthly basis.
The Residential Property Price Index is calculated to measure price movements adjusted for quality differences. In August, the index rose by 2.5 percent compared to the previous month, reaching 192.5. While the nominal increase compared to the same period last year was 31.4 percent, there was a 1.2 percent decline in real terms.
PRICE INCREASES IN THE THREE MAJOR CITIES
In Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir, housing prices rose by 3.0, 2.8, and 2.5 percent respectively on a monthly basis in August. In the annual comparison, increases of 30.2 percent in Istanbul, 41.1 percent in Ankara, and 31.9 percent in Izmir were observed.
HIGHEST INCREASE IN THE EAST, LOWEST IN THE AEGEAN
When examined according to the Classification of Statistical Territorial Units, the highest annual increase in August 2025 was recorded in the Erzurum, Erzincan, Bayburt, Agri, Ardahan, Kars, and Igdir region with 41.6 percent. The lowest increase was measured in the Aydin, Denizli, and Mugla region at 23.5 percent.
