The autogas price hike, which was projected to be 1 TL last week, exceeded expectations and was implemented at 1.20 TL. With this increase, the price per liter of autogas in Istanbul reached 27.08 TL, and these prices became effective as of last night.
Autogas prices, which were 3.95 TL in 2021, have increased by 585.31 percent to date. This situation increases the economic burden, especially for low-income citizens. For example, while a 42-liter autogas tank could be filled for 165.9 TL in 2021, the same tank now costs 1,137 TL to fill.
