Birth grant applications have begun
Minister of Family and Social Services Göktaş announced that birth grant applications can be made via e-Devlet starting today.

In Turkey, a birth grant will be provided by the state for children born on or after January 1, 2025.
Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced that birth grant applications will now be accepted through the e-Devlet system.
Göktaş shared the following information regarding the scope of the birth grant:
"Our families who have children as of January 1, 2025, will benefit from these grants. Accordingly, for the first child born on or after January 1, 2025, a one-time birth grant of 5 thousand liras will be deposited into our mothers' accounts, while for the second child, 1,500 liras will be paid monthly, and for the third and subsequent children, 5 thousand liras will be paid monthly. These supports will continue until our children complete the age of 5."
The grant amounts will be as follows: A one-time payment of 5,000 TL for the first child, 1,500 TL per month for the second child from birth until they complete the age of five (for 60 months), and 5,000 TL per month for the third and subsequent children, also for 60 months.
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will be authorized to increase these amounts. The payments in question will be covered by the Social Assistance and Solidarity Promotion Fund.
Birth grants will be delivered to families without being subject to any taxes or deductions and cannot be seized under any circumstances.
HOW TO APPLY FOR THE BIRTH GRANT?
To apply for the birth grant, the baby must first be born and registered in the Identity Sharing System (KPS) at the civil registry office. Subsequently, the "Birth Grant Application Petition" must be filled out completely and signed; it can then be submitted in person, via registered mail, or by courier.
Applications can be made to Provincial Directorates of Family and Social Services or affiliated Social Service Centers. Personnel working in public institutions and organizations (including those working through service procurement) submit their applications to their own institutions.
Citizens living abroad can apply through Embassies and Consulates. If they are in Turkey, it is sufficient for them to apply to the nearest Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services or Social Service Center.
