Bond yields recorded an increase on Wednesday following a climb in US consumer inflation expectations.
According to the University of Michigan's Consumer Sentiment survey, American consumers raised their inflation expectations for the coming year from 4.4 percent to 4.5 percent. As a result of the sell-off in bonds following the data, US two-year and five-year bond yields rose by three basis points each.
US bonds will not be traded today due to public holidays in Japan and the US.
Before the holiday, the S&P 500 finished Wednesday with a 0.4 percent gain. The index's November rally reached 8 percent. Asian indices, however, could not follow this rise.
The Hong Kong Hang Seng is down 0.4 percent. Japanese indices are not trading due to the holiday. The Bloomberg Dollar Index is at 1,242 points, down 0.1 percent.
The Dollar/TL exchange rate is trading at 28.85 in the morning hours.
