The Inflation Research Group (ENAG) has shared its inflation calculation for February with the public. According to the released data, inflation in February increased by 3.37 percent on a monthly basis and 79.51 percent on an annual basis. In January, these rates were calculated as 8.22 percent and 81.01 percent, respectively.
Data from the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) also revealed that retail prices in Istanbul increased by 3.19 percent monthly and 45.35 percent annually in February.
ALL EYES ON TURKSTAT
Following the announcement of the inflation data for February, all eyes have turned to the official figures to be announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) at 10:00 AM. The inflation data to be released is also of critical importance for determining the rent increase cap to be applied in March.
