Breaking News... Manipulation operation at Borsa Istanbul: 8 detention warrants issued across 4 provinces

As part of a stock market manipulation investigation carried out in Istanbul, Kocaeli, Antalya, and Zonguldak, detention warrants were issued for 8 individuals.

The following statement was released by the prosecutor's office regarding the investigation: 

"Within the scope of the investigation initiated by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office following findings that there were fluctuations in the trading volume and share prices of capital market instruments traded on the BIST (Borsa Istanbul) equity market that were contrary to the ordinary flow of life, and that artificial increases caused losses for small investors; as part of the operation conducted as of 14/07/2025 against suspects identified as having manipulated the shares of Atlantis Yatırım Holding A.Ş., detention warrants have been issued for 8 people in a total of 4 provinces, namely Istanbul, Kocaeli, Antalya, and Zonguldak, on charges of 'establishing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes and market fraud,' and it is hereby announced to the public that judicial procedures for apprehension, search, and seizure are ongoing."
