5-MONTH INCREASE FOR SSK AND BAĞ-KUR RETIREES CLARIFIED

With the addition of the latest data, the 5-month portion of the inflation difference that retirees will receive at the beginning of the year has been finalized at 11.20 percent. The final raise rate for retirees will become clear with the December inflation to be announced on January 5.

NO WELFARE SHARE WILL BE APPLIED THIS YEAR EITHER

In line with the preferences of the economic administration, the government, which has for some time ended the practice of providing a 'welfare share' to retirees and only makes increases based on the inflation difference, will continue the same practice this year.

The raise rate to be determined with the announcement of December inflation will be directly reflected in retiree pensions; no additional increase is planned.

Since the raise to be made as per legislation is only valid for base pensions, the AKP is expected to submit a proposal to Parliament so that the inflation rate to be determined in January can also be reflected in the lowest pension.

According to economist forecasts, it is projected that the lowest pension will rise to approximately 19 thousand TL in the new year.

5-MONTH RAISE RATE FOR CIVIL SERVANTS HAS EMERGED

When calculating salary increases for civil servants and retirees under the Emekli Sandığı (Retirement Fund), collective bargaining rates will be taken into account in addition to inflation. According to the announced 5-month data, the increase rate already guaranteed for civil servants is 17.56 percent.

The final raise rate will be determined after the December inflation is announced on January 5.
