CBRT Governor Karahan meets with TBB executives: 'Regulations to increase the share of TL deposits'
Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) Governor Dr. Fatih Karahan met with executives of the Banks Association of Turkey (TBB).

CBRT Governor Dr. Fatih Karahan met with TBB Chairman of the Board Alparslan Çakar and bank general managers who are members of the TBB Board of Directors.
It was stated that the current situation in the banking sector and future expectations were evaluated in line with current macroeconomic developments.
In a statement regarding the meeting, the TBB noted: "The meeting, where the current situation in the banking sector and future expectations were evaluated in line with current macroeconomic developments, was quite productive. Regulations aimed at increasing the share of Turkish lira deposits, simplification within the macroprudential framework, and the monetary policy outlook within the scope of the disinflation process, along with quantitative tightening steps, were the main agenda items of the meeting. CBRT Governor Fatih Karahan and TBB Chairman Alpaslan Çakar expressed their satisfaction with the coordinated efforts of the Central Bank and the banking sector."
