Central Bank announces: New banknotes in circulation today
The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye has put new 20 TL banknotes into circulation as of today. With the decision published in the Official Gazette, the new series of banknotes has been made available for use.

The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (TCMB) has announced that the E9 Emission Group VII series 20 TL banknotes have been released into circulation as of today. This decision, published in the Official Gazette, officially initiated the entry of the new banknotes into circulation.
According to the Central Bank's statement, the new 20 TL banknotes differ from the current ones only in the signatures they bear. This new series features the signatures of Central Bank Governor Dr. Fatih Karahan and Deputy Governor Prof. Dr. Hatice Karahan. Apart from this, the dimensions, color, design, and security features of the banknotes will remain exactly the same as the previous series.
The TCMB stated that the new series of banknotes will be in circulation alongside the existing 20 TL notes and that both series will be considered valid.
