Central Bank approves new electronic money institution
The Central Bank has granted 1000 Ödeme Hizmetleri ve Elektronik Para AŞ authorization to issue electronic money and provide payment services. The decision has entered into force upon its publication in the Official Gazette.

The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (TCMB) has granted 1000 Ödeme Hizmetleri ve Elektronik Para AŞ authorization to operate in the field of electronic money.
With the decision published in the Official Gazette, it was announced that the company may both provide payment services and issue electronic money within the framework of articles 14, 15, 18, and 19 of the Law on Payment and Securities Settlement Systems, Payment Services and Electronic Money Institutions.
This decision officially paves the way for 1000 Ödeme Hizmetleri ve Elektronik Para AŞ to operate in the sector as an electronic money institution.
