Central Bank reserves continue to decline

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) has released its weekly money and banking statistics.

Accordingly, as of March 8, the Central Bank's gross foreign exchange reserves fell by 2 billion 726 million dollars to 77 billion 785 million dollars. Gross foreign exchange reserves stood at 80 billion 511 million dollars on March 1.

During this period, gold reserves increased by 2 billion 340 million dollars, rising from 50 billion 408 million dollars to 52 billion 748 million dollars.

The Central Bank's total reserves decreased by 386 million dollars in the week of March 8 compared to the previous week, falling from 130 billion 919 million dollars to 130 billion 533 million dollars.
