Central Bank reserves hit record high at 141.4 billion dollars

Weekly Money and Bank Statistics have been published by the CBRT.

Accordingly, as of December 8, the Central Bank's gross foreign exchange reserves increased by 1 billion 276 million dollars to 94 billion 509 million dollars. Gross foreign exchange reserves stood at 93 billion 233 million dollars on December 1.

During the same period, gold reserves decreased by 52 million dollars, falling from 46 billion 916 million dollars to 46 billion 864 million dollars.

The Central Bank's total reserves reached an all-time high of 141 billion 374 million dollars in the week of December 8, rising by 1 billion 225 million dollars from 140 billion 149 million dollars the previous week.

The increase in total reserves from the end of May to the week ending December 8 was 42 billion 916 million dollars, which corresponds to an increase of 43.6 percent.
