Central Bank reserves on the rise

The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) has announced its weekly money and banking statistics.

Accordingly, as of May 24, the Central Bank's gross foreign exchange reserves rose by 4 billion 216 million dollars to 82 billion 765 million dollars. Gross foreign exchange reserves stood at 78 billion 549 million dollars on May 17.

During this period, gold reserves also decreased by 1 billion 100 million dollars, falling from 60 billion 576 million dollars to 59 billion 476 million dollars.

Thus, the Central Bank's total reserves increased by 3 billion 117 million dollars in the week of May 24 compared to the previous week, rising from 139 billion 125 million dollars to 142 billion 242 million dollars.
