Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz announced that the second meeting of the Fund Coordination Board, which he chairs, will be held tomorrow, as the fund investigation remains on the agenda.

In his statement regarding the board's work, Yılmaz noted that the relevant institutions are taking steps in coordination within their respective areas of responsibility. He stated that following the decisions taken by the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) and the Capital Markets Board (SPK), special accounts have been opened within the TMSF for each problematic fund in order to facilitate the restitution of illicit gains.

Stating that judicial processes are ongoing, Yılmaz noted that the State Supervisory Council has also been tasked and has begun its work.

"THERE IS NO SYSTEMIC RISK"

Stating that the problems in the fund markets are limited to a specific segment, Yılmaz said that there is no systemic risk in the capital markets.

Yılmaz stated that the process will be conducted within the framework of legal rules, that the rights of the public and investors will be protected, and that necessary measures will be taken against those who obtain illicit gains through unlawful transactions.

The statement made by Yılmaz on his X account is as follows:

"The 2nd meeting of the Fund Coordination Board, which was established by our President and which I chair, will be held tomorrow morning.

Our roadmap has been determined. All our relevant institutions are taking concrete steps in coordination on issues falling within their areas of responsibility. Important decisions have been taken and announced by the BDDK and SPK. Special accounts are being opened within the TMSF for each problematic fund for the restitution of illicit gains.

Judicial processes are being operated effectively, and the State Supervisory Council has been tasked and has begun its work.

Our institutions are informing the public about the steps they have taken in their respective fields. Disinformation should not be given credence.

Every stage of the process will be managed with common sense, within the framework of legal rules and in line with the justified sensitivities of our citizens.

Our fundamental approach is to protect the rights of the public and investors, and to take the most effective measures against manipulators and speculators who obtain illicit gains through unlawful transactions. The foundations of our economy and the structure of our capital markets are solid. There is no systemic risk. With the resolution of the problems that have emerged in a limited segment of the fund markets, our capital markets will continue on their path with a much stronger structure."
