The electricity price hikes implemented by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) have sparked widespread public reaction. These increases, which range from 25 percent for residential subscribers, 15 percent for public and private services, 10 percent for industry, 12.4 percent for agricultural activities, and between 20-24 percent for natural gas, have drawn criticism from the CHP.

CHP Group Deputy Chairman and Ankara Deputy Murat Emir, in a statement on his social media account, referenced President Erdoğan's words, stating: "With the approval of Erdoğan, who said hours ago that 'my nation will not forgive those who campaign against the nation in the economy,' electricity prices have been hiked by 25 percent for residential subscribers, 15 percent for public and private services, 10 percent for industry, 12.4 percent for agricultural activities, and natural gas by between 20-24 percent! The nation will not forgive you!!!"
