CHP's Yavuzyılmaz shares the list: 'Exchange rate' adjustment coming for bridges and highways with toll guarantees

It has been learned that as of October 1, 2024, a current exchange rate adjustment will be applied to the guaranteed amounts for the Osmangazi, Çanakkale, Eurasia, and Yavuz Sultan Selim bridges and tunnels. CHP's Deniz Yavuzyılmaz reacted sharply to the regulation.

CHP Deputy Chairman Yavuzyılmaz announced that a current exchange rate adjustment has been made to the guaranteed amounts paid to companies operating bridges, tunnels, and highways.

Sharing the information via his X account, Yavuzyılmaz stated the following:

"The AK Party has made a current exchange rate adjustment to the guaranteed amounts paid to companies operating bridges, tunnels, and highways built under the Build-Operate-Transfer model!

As of October 1, 2024

At the Osmangazi Bridge;

The toll for passing vehicles will remain at 555 TL, but the vehicle toll guaranteed by the Treasury to the company is rising to 1,870 TL. The difference amount that the Treasury will pay to the company for each vehicle passing through the bridge will increase to 1,315 TL.

At the Çanakkale Bridge;

The toll for passing vehicles will remain at 585 TL, but the vehicle toll guaranteed by the Treasury to the company is rising to 760 TL. The difference amount that the Treasury will pay to the company for each vehicle passing through the bridge will increase to 175 TL. At the Eurasia Tunnel; The toll for passing vehicles will remain at 156 TL, but the vehicle toll guaranteed by the Treasury to the company is rising to 238 TL. The difference amount that the Treasury will pay to the company for each vehicle passing through the tunnel will increase to 82 TL.

At the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge;

The toll for passing vehicles will remain at 70 TL, but the vehicle toll guaranteed by the Treasury to the company is rising to 204 TL. The difference amount that the Treasury will pay to the company for each vehicle passing through the bridge will increase to 134 TL.

Furthermore, if the guaranteed daily vehicle passage numbers are not met in these projects, the Treasury is obligated to pay the companies for each vehicle below the target number:

1,870 TL for the Osmangazi Bridge

760 TL for the Çanakkale Bridge

238 TL for the Eurasia Tunnel

204 TL for the YSS Bridge!"
