The pay raise decisions concerning approximately 4.5 million civil servants, retired civil servants, and contract personnel in Turkey have been announced in the Official Gazette.
After no agreement could be reached during the collective bargaining negotiations between the government and unions, the Arbitration Board stepped in. As union representatives withdrew from the negotiations, the Arbitration Board made the final decision, and the results were announced to the public yesterday.
Accordingly, the general increase rate for the salaries of public employees has been set at 11 percent for the first six months of 2026 and 7 percent for the second half. For 2027, a 5 percent raise will be applied in the first period and 4 percent in the second period.
Additionally, it was decided that an extra 1000 TL will be added to the base salaries of civil servants in the first period of 2026.
On the other hand, all details of the 8th Term Collective Agreement, which regulates the financial and social rights of public employees and covers the years 2026 and 2027, were also included in the Official Gazette.
