CMB extends deadline for equity ratio measure in margin trading

The Capital Markets Board (CMB) has extended the duration of the measure regarding the flexible application of the equity ratio in margin-based capital market transactions until the end of the trading session on October 30, 2026.

In a press release issued by the CMB, it was stated: "Taking into account the developments in the Borsa İstanbul AŞ markets, within the framework of Article 1 of the Capital Markets Law No. 6362, and based on Article 128/1-(a) of the Capital Markets Law No. 6362, in order to ensure the functioning of capital markets in a reliable, transparent, and stable environment and to protect the rights and interests of investors; it has been decided to continue the implementation of the measure regarding the flexible application of the equity ratio for the duration of margin-based capital market transactions, as stipulated in the Board's Decision dated 17/09/2026 and numbered 57/1706, which was announced in our Board's bulletin dated September 17, 2026, until the end of the trading session on October 30, 2026."
