CMB files criminal complaint and imposes 2-year trading ban for Özata Denizcilik transactions
Following an investigation into transactions involving Özata Denizcilik shares, the Capital Markets Board (CMB) has filed criminal complaints against 11 individuals and imposed a trading ban on 13 individuals and institutions.

The Capital Markets Board (CMB) has taken a series of decisions following an investigation into transactions conducted in the Özata Denizcilik share market. The Board ruled that criminal complaints be filed against 11 individuals as part of the investigation.
The CMB's decisions were not limited to criminal complaints. A 2-year trading ban was imposed on a total of 13 individuals and institutions, including two brokerage firms.
With this decision, measures have been implemented regarding the capital market transactions of the individuals and institutions subject to the investigation. The duration of the trading ban was set by the Board at 2 years.
The CMB also decided to cancel all licenses held by 5 of the named individuals for the duration of the trading ban. Thus, sanctions regarding licenses were also applied within the scope of the investigation.
It was noted that the decision to file a criminal complaint does not imply a conviction for the individuals concerned; the judicial process will proceed based on the assessment of the competent authorities.
