In a statement from the Federal Cartel Office, it was stated that an investigation has been launched against Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Deutschland due to anti-competitive discounts.

Andreas Mundt, President of the German Federal Cartel Office, stated in his assessment of the matter, "There are indications that Coca-Cola may be hindering other companies in terms of competition by designing its conditions for German food retailers, particularly its discount structure. We will examine this issue in more detail."

The Bundeskartellamt will first look at whether Coca-Cola holds a dominant position in the non-alcoholic beverage market in the investigation in question.

The office will also examine whether food retail companies could be inappropriately incentivized to purchase, stock, and advertise Coca-Cola's entire product range.

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners handles the bottling and distribution of all the company's beverage brands in Germany on behalf of The Coca-Cola Company.
